Sunday Snapshot: Tis the Season...

Image
We got the lights on the house today!  We still have a bit of decorating to do out side, like a wreath, maybe I can talk Jim into more lights :) While we were at Wal-Mart today looking for more lights we had a surprise encounter with the Man in Red, aka Santa.  Chloe was a little unsure of the big guy but she did really well.  It helped that he gave her candy, that man knows the secret to a 2 year old's heart.  Her first candy cane was also a hit!   I think Santa is going to be a hit and hopefully by the end of the season we might get a smiling picture. And just because she has a beautiful smile!  As you can see monkey is her new BFF!  She loves wearing a monkey on her back and it cracks me up.  Today she came out of her room wearing a sweater, the monkey and a tutu she has a great since of style!

I am Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have never been more thankful than I am this year.  I don't think I need to explain why.     Last year she waited... and we waited... This year...  we smile with bed head...  we play with too many toys... and we color in the living room! Life has never been better!  We are looking so forward to this holiday season and everything that goes with it!  Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy time with family and appreciate the little things!

Fall Fun

Well the Sickness is working it's way through our little family and although it is Chloe's turn we were all going stir crazy being cooped up in the house so we headed out "Shop Ping" as Chloe calls it. We were a little early and needed to waste some time so we visited the park that Jim and I used to spend our lunches together many many moons ago, (like 17 years ago, wow, we are old).   So we bundled up and found some swings! Think Chloe approved and all was good until she saw the monkey bars!!! I believe "UP" was repeated a couple times Daddy obliged!  I think we might be in trouble with this dare devil! Then we collected a few leaves for our friends at daycare.  Chloe likes the BIG ones best. She is starting on some antibiotics tomorrow, for what looks like an ear infection.  I hope this is the last of the sicknesses for a while we have had our fill this year.   Happy Fall!!

No Energy!

The house is a mess, the laundry needs to be done, the groceries need to be bought and we have ZERO energy to do any of it.  It all started last week when I thought my cold had become a sinus infection but now I think it might be the flu. I ran a fever and just felt horrible for most of last week and although I am not feeling as bad I still have NO energy.  To make things worse, Jim seems to have gotten it as well.  I hope that Chloe will be spared but I fear it is only a matter of time. In the mean time we are drinking lots of fluids and resting with our cow-girl :)
