No Ordinary Family

So this is what we did this weekend in pictures because I am too lazy to type. See don't let Jim fool you, I helped. The yard is coming together the inside of the house is falling apart but that is another story.  I decided today that we need a vacation and we are taking one!! Damn it!  So in the next couple of weeks we will be traveling to the hopefully not so rainy Washington coast.  Camping with the dogs!  I am tempted to go up near La Push (ya know Twilight) I have been there many times and they have AWESOME beaches but it is a little far to drive for less than a week.  Plus I don't think you can make reservations in the campground, so if we don't get a spot we have to stay in the overfill spots.  Basically it's a glorified parking lot.  So I think we will make Ocean Shores.   Someday I would like to go to a warm beach you know the kind where people wear bathing suits not windbreakers and rain coats.  And drink something fruity with...

Not much happening around here, hence the lack of posts.  Jim has got some airplane wreck chasing adventure planned (I still say is it not chasing unless the target is moving but whatever).  He left early this morning and I tried to sleep in.  A little later I will head in to the fabric store, I have a few things I want to work on. It should be nice today, in the 80s!  In May, this is crazy weather for us.  I like it this temp but I am going to hate it when it gets any hotter.  The only reason that is should be hotter is to go swimming and since we don't have a pool I have no desire to see it hotter than 82.  But the evenings sitting in the back yard have been fun and relaxing and unplugged.  As much as I love the computer and all my precious electronics, it is nice to unplug for a while, together.  I have always know that my habits will have have to change when we have kids, but until them I have been reluctant to turn thing off.  I t...

Well it has been snowing for the last 24 hrs. Not huge amounts in our area but a constant dusting from the sky and it is cold, I am mean like lose your fingers if you forget your gloves cold. Ok no one has lost their fingers yet, that I know of, but hey it could be a possibility. I think the high today was in the low 20s and tonight we are expecting more single digit temperatures. I love the snow but I usually like it a little warmer than this at least at midday. Sorry there is not much to talk about but the weather. I could talk about how I searched all over town for that gift that Jim said he wanted for Christmas and I realised that there are 1 of 2 things going on. Either the economic crisis that the news is talking about is non-existent or that the stores ordered a whole lot less because the shelves are empty and we still have a week until Christmas. Oh Baby, it is cold outside. Jim and I ventured out for a little while to get out of the house and do a bit of shopping but boy was it frigid. It is only 16 degrees out now, I think it might have gone all the way up to 20 about noon. We got our first snow yesterday and it was just a little it is trying to snow now but I think it is just freezing mid air, it is too cold to fall. Jim made some potato soup and we are just going to focus on staying warm all night. It is days like this that I wish we had a fireplace they are so cozy and much warmer than our electric heat.
