Happy Father's Day

These pictures I took a couple of weeks ago but I forgot to post them so I thought they would be a perfect addition today. Jim wanted to go out of town this weekend to celebrate the day but it didn't work out that way. So instead we got new bicycles.  They are so much fun, I really forgot how much fun it is to ride.  It will be a great way to get exercise, since walking just does not seem to happen.  Chloe seems to like it, too, she especially likes her new helmet. I will post pictures later, when I remember to take them. Other than that we have been just taking it slow this weekend.  The kitten is fitting right in and has perfected being lazy.  He has gotten back some of that kitten spunk and he things everything on the floor is his enemy and he must pounce on it with great gusto.  I think we have settled on Calvin as a name, taken from Calvin and Hobbs . Chloe came down with a nasty cold and thought gypsy was a great place to take a rest.  Gypsy doesn

So today I ended up going to lunch rather late and even though I was planning on staying in the office for lunch I got a craving for Chinese food.  There is a pretty good little Chinese place just down the road from work so I decided to go there.  When I walked in there was a tiny orange and white kitten by the door getting out of the rain.  It really didn't want to move when I opened the door but it scurried around the building.  I told the waitress that there was a kitten by the door she went out to see but didn't find anything. I ate my lunch and on my way out I looked for the kitten around the back of the building just to see if he was still there.  I kinda felt bad for the little guy being stuck out in the rain like that.  But I didn't see him and I thought that he must have found a new place to hide.  Apparently he did. I went back to work and was there the rest of the day and then I drove home from Grandview (35 miles away), I stopped at my Mom and Dad's sinc
