Busy, Busy

We have had a busy weekend. Saturday, we got snow tires on the car, went out for breakfast, cleaned the house (which really needed it), got the oil changed in the truck, visited with Grandma L, went shopping a little, and visited with Jim’s parents. Sunday we got the Christmas decorations out of the shed, which was a feat, when we moved out of the storage unit this summer things kind of got buried. We also went Christmas/Birthday shopping for the munchkins. Then I went to my mom’s house to help her type up her class.

It was snowing on Saturday and on Sunday it was raining ice cubes, well they weren’t quite cubes but it sure felt that way. So because of the rain most of the snow is gone but never fear another storm system is on it’s way. We I went out to the car this morning it was 50 degrees!! Not kidding, this weather is crazy. Here are a couple pictures of the snow from last week. I can't wait for Little Miss to come home and make snow angels in that perfect snow.

Because of the early snow and the Christmas stuff being buried I don’t think we are going to get the lights on the house this year. But who knows I still have time to try and convince my loveable, handsome husband to get out the ladder and risk his life and brave hypothermia to make our house look full of Christmas cheer. We did put out the 2 little reindeer that we have but we tried to plug them in and they don’t work I guess the life span of 2 tiny reindeer is only about 9 years. Maybe we will replace them with something bigger and harder to store!

The laptop is acting funny and I have run several different virus scans and can’t figure out what is wrong. I think we might have to break down and take it in to the professionals that want my arm, my leg and one of Jim’s kidneys to fix it. We have grown so used to using the laptop I don’t know what I would do if I had to go back to the desktop? So if I don’t post it is just because I am too lazy to go into the back room and start up the "dinosaur" aka our desktop computer.

Hey! I like my kidneys! And, as for Christmas Cheer...can't we put the lights on the house at waist level? Getting on the roof with that rickety six foot ladder is treacherous at the best of times...let alone in the weather we have been having...have you taken out a new insurance policy?
Love the post...except for my doaner status. Keep 'em coming!

I think waist high decorations sounds great. Maybe you will start a new trend. We don't always have to be the follower, be the leader sometimes. I love those snow pictures also. Now we may have a flood coming. Hope there aint too much snow in them thar hills. I didn't drive my car for 4 days so I guess it decided it wasn't needed anymore so it just committed suicide. I have a battery charger on it and now it starts, but I need to take it in and see if the battery is trying to give out. It's only 2 years old. The battery, that is.
