No Ordinary Family

Well the Sickness is working it's way through our little family and although it is Chloe's turn we were all going stir crazy being cooped up in the house so we headed out "Shop Ping" as Chloe calls it. We were a little early and needed to waste some time so we visited the park that Jim and I used to spend our lunches together many many moons ago, (like 17 years ago, wow, we are old).   So we bundled up and found some swings! Think Chloe approved and all was good until she saw the monkey bars!!! I believe "UP" was repeated a couple times Daddy obliged!  I think we might be in trouble with this dare devil! Then we collected a few leaves for our friends at daycare.  Chloe likes the BIG ones best. She is starting on some antibiotics tomorrow, for what looks like an ear infection.  I hope this is the last of the sicknesses for a while we have had our fill this year.   Happy Fall!!

Just spending a day in our PJ's watching Laurie Berkner on YouTube.  We had a rough night of not much sleep, it is the time of year for colds and we all have one.   We might have over done it a little celebrating this little one's first Birthday.  I find it hard to believe that he was born just one year ago. Chloe enjoyed playing with her cousins.  It is so great to finally have her at these gatherings although it means we do more chasing and less picture taking.   But today we are just nursing our runny noses and swollen eyes, wearing PJ's and Elmo shirt. I think it is time for a nap.

Well, a burst of engery came after a long winter slumber on the mountian of paperwork, I believe that we have reached the summit! And boy is it a beautiful view! This afternoon I got our last document off to AAO. They are going to be getting all of the authentications done for us this time around. Once those are finished, off to Burundi with the dossier! I can not believe that we might actually be this close. It is truely amazing to me that I might actually get to join the mommy club. I have been looking in the window for some time now and truely think that the door is opening slightly. I am feeling better today I still don't have my voice back completely and I am coughing a bit but I finally have some energy!

Well, I decided to start the year off right, by getting sick. I have had some sort of stomach bug the last few days and I stayed home in bed yesterday. We missed David’s Birthday party but I did not think that he would appreciate the stomach flu as a gift. I was really bummed because I made him something and I can’t wait to blog about it give it to him. My goal was to make each of the munchkins something for Christmas and I barely got David’s done for his Birthday and then I got sick. Maybe I should start now for next Christmas (only 353 shopping days left). On the adoption front: China referred another batch of referrals the end of December which puts us at 421 LID days to go. We are still very far away but I hope that this is the year that they speed up. We have been reassured by our agency that now that the New Year has arrived progress in Burundi should start moving forward. As always we are cautiously optimistic about reports like that, as things don’t always move at the ...
