Pretty Girl

Finally got Gypsy in to get a good bath, brush and a trim. She looks great. I think threatening the groomer to get it right or else, is the trick when going to a pet store for grooming. They even put bows behind her ears! They must know me!
This is what she looked like before, the picture does not show how scruffy she really was but she looks pretty sad about being scruffy.

Scruffy is an understatement!! I thought she was happy to see me yesterday, only once we got outside she had to go POOOOOOOO!!!! Then she looked pleased with herself and I put her in the truck...stupid dog.

Cake-Pops?

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
