The Great Pumpkin

The Great Pumpkin has visited my Mom's house and left some pumpkins to enjoy.

The actually name of the Great pumpkin is Dale, although, Jim I don't recommend while at work you calling Dale, Pumpkin, I don't think he will take too kindly to it. They etched the name in the pumpkin when it was small and as it grew it scarred and turned out really cool. It is the biggest pumpkin that I have ever seen outside of the fair. So without further ado, the pictures.

Good Grief! I am the first!! Those are awesome pictures! Pepper is so cute blinking at the flash! Excellent. And I only call Dale pumpkin on those special days...

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
