Not Much in the Land of Cora

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions on baby carriers. I think I have narrowed down my choices, Ergo is at the top right now since they have a 90 day money back policy so if I don't like it I can return it but that is followed closely by a more simple easier to pack sling or wrap. And although I know that Jim put a lot of thought into the whole "sew handles to the back of all of BB's clothing" idea, I think it is neither practical nor culturally acceptable, so it has not made the final list of possibilities. I will be sure to let you know what I decide on and later on I will be sure to let you know how we like it.

We got a dresser for the baby's room this weekend and I spent some time staining it. I will need to do some more work on it but probably won't get back to it for a couple of weeks. I think we are probably well set for equipment and furniture, except maybe a car seat. We have one but would like two so we don't have to move it from vehicle to vehicle. And of course the baby carrier.

No word yet on our Dossier and I am trying to be patient but it is very hard.

Other than that there is not much to blog about. I have been keeping busy, but nothing much new. I have been reading a bit more, lately. I got a baby signs starter kit and read the book, now I need to watch the DVD and wait so that I can start using them. I have also been re-reading a few books I have on adoption, some of them are worth a refresher and I hope that they come in handy when the time finally gets here. I should also brush up on the basics, like milestones and what happens when in a baby's development kinda stuff. Can you tell I am trying to busy myself?

I want to also thank all of you that wished me a happy Mother's Day, although I am not a mother, yet. I hope that everything goes as planned and that next year I will have my first official Mother's Day.

Have a good week, I will let every one know if we hear anything but don't hold your breath this is international adoption we are waiting for.

I kind of like Jim's idea of putting handles on BB's clothes. They put wheels on suitcases and they work really well. Oh well, I'm just trying to be helpful.

I think the hadnles would be cool, but, I suppose not all people would agree.

Ok people, handles on the back might be OK for catching the kid but for carrying it won't work unless we also add rollerskates:0)
It is a good thing I make all the baby carrying decisions, LOL.

I think at this point that you are going to have to sew the handles on at least one of BB's outfits..even if it is just for a pic on a post. This is something we just have to see! I hope you have a wonderful week and I hope that you hear something soon.
