The Randomness That is Today

It has been kind of a windy yucky day.  I am just feeling kind of down and I want to crawl back into bed.  I really want some good adoption news or some pictures.  The highlight of my week so far: having a cavity filled.  Tonight I think I will bind some coloring books although sales have kind of slowed.  I was looking for a picture to post and found this one.

She just makes me smile. 

Saturday we are headed to Tacoma for Laura's (my cousins) wedding.  It should be fun.  We might even get to visit a marine fish store.  Don't think we can buy anything yet but a clean up crew for our clown fish tank.   They are on their third set of eggs but we do not have the right conditions for the babies to survive.  They need names.  Anyone got some good ideas?

I love Gypsy. Just think somebody had dumped her out to live on her own. Thank God, you rescued her.
I think I'd call that fish "Tuna" just for the heck of it.

Cake-Pops?

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
