RUBY Beach!!!

This is my favorite beach in the world, Ok I have not been to many but it has got to be the most beautiful.  It is about 1/2 way up the Washington coast line.  I HEART this beach.  We didn't plan on visiting this beach but I am so glad that we did, I had forgotten how much I love it.


The dogs enjoyed it too.  Toby thought he was a mountain goat and Gypsy loved the deep pools to swim in.

The tide pool life is truly amazing! 

I just love this beach I have a bunch of Flip video I need to down load so I hope to share some sounds of the beach with you soon.  
If you ever have a chance to visit you have to make your way down there at low tide and absorb the beauty.  It is a little hike in but if I can do it anyone can.

I, too, am in love with this beach. I don't know why Toby wanted to climb every rock there, and we did our best to keep him from it, but he sure tried!

beautiful! You'll have such a wonderful time taking your little one(S!) there when they are home! My daughter would run straight into the waves if I let her! Can't wait to go tidepooling this summer with her again!

Cake-Pops?

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
