One Month as a Family of 3!

Yep we have survived the first month!  I am sure I should write something wonderful and full of sentiment and meaning but I just don't have it in me tonight.  Instead I will just post some pictures to show you what a happy baby she is, even though she was not feeling well today.

She still loves the doggies, Gypsy is a bit more tolerant than Toby.

The mirror is supposed to be on the wall but she pulled it off.  It is very light and not going to hurt her so I left it on the floor for her to play with while I was watching.  She loves mirrors!

The fact that you are posting at all, and even quite often is pretty amazing already, who needs more words to believe how good a mother you are and how much you love your girl??
Oh yes, and then there are the pictures of the two of you! My daughter also loves to play hide-and-seek with stuff on her head... and in front of a mirror, she will start a whole "conversation" with her second self - 12 to 24 months is a very interesting period in their lives!

Cake-Pops?

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
