The Gutting of the Pumpkin

Jim carved one but the others were just gutted and will be carved up later this week, pictures to follow. Chloe was not to sure about the slimy pumpkin innards but she did not let that stop her.  She kept saying "ut oh hand"  whenever she got something on her.  She does love her pumpkins she has to say hi to each one of them on the way into the house everyday and goodbye to them every morning.   Stay tuned later today or tomorrow for the flying Chloes.

That pumpkin was big enough for her to fit into it. "Little Pumpkin Eater" story. I love how she was (we could say) undressed for the event! So simple and then a quick bath to clean up. Thanks for sharing the pics. Love Grandma Voni

Cake-Pops?

I saw this cute book on cake pops and thought that can't be that hard, yeah right! I thought hey Chloe's Birthday is coming up and just look at all the cute holiday ones.  This could become a fun family baking event.  AND THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR THINKING!   I baked a cake last night.  I read the instructions twice and today at nap time I gathered the supplies and dug in.  It all seemed to go well until the dipping.  I had one panda suicide right off the stick he must have known his fate was never to be as cute as the pictures in the book.  I switched to cupcakes thinking they would be easier and it was but they still had a longing, they longed to be cupcakes. On the upside they are yummy! I might try again, has anyone made these before?  Any tricks to make the dipping go easier?
